Kidney failure means that the kidney can no longer perform their roles. They are present in the body but they can no longer filter waste products from the blood. They can no longer perform their other functions which include controlling the bodys blood pressure and creating red blood cells for the body use. Long-term kidney problems have significant repercussions on other
diseases, such as cardiovascular disease. The Causes Of Kidney FailureThe causes of kidney failure can either be acute or chronic. The causes of the acute kidney failure are further classified into three different categories. These are the pre -renal, renal and post- renal causes. Pre renal causes occur when there is a reduction in the amount of blood
that flows into the kidneys. Blood loss in an injury or during a major
surgery is a cause. Renal causes are causes which totally destroys the kidneys making them
totally inactive. When infections that penetrate the body are frequent
and strong, they can weaken the bodys immune system. Post renal cause occurs when there is a blockage that stops the normal flow of urine. Illnesses like prostrate cancer and kidney stones are causes that could stop the kidneys from functioning properly, Chronic kidney failure occurs gradually. This is the total loss of
use of the kidneys. It can not be reversed. Diabetes and High blood
pressure are major illnesses that can lead to the total loss of the
